2. How do I send Style Elite my pictures? Does each picture get reviewed?
You should send at least one (01) clear head shot and one (01) clear body shot. Your head shot should clearly show your entire face, and your body shot should give us a good idea of your build and body type. We suggest that women wear a swimsuit and men a swimsuit or boxer shorts. Please DO NOT send any nude photographs. Keep your submissions limited to these requirements, sending a large amount of pictures doesn't help us, we will ask for more if we need it. Each picture is reviewed by a Style Elite Director. Please do not call or email and ask if we received your pictures. Due to the busy nature of an agency, this is the only acceptable procedure.
Yes. We hold open calls at our Silver Spring office on from time to time. We do not have specific days that we hold our open call. When we hold open calls we will post the dates and times on our website under the Agency News/ Successes link.
For all open calls, do not be early and do not be late.
6. Do I need to have professional pictures taken to be considered by Style Elite?
Absolutely not. The pictures you send do not need to be taken by a professional photographer. Of course, if you have professional pictures, you are welcome to send them; however, we prefer to receive simple snap shots or Polaroid's which give us an accurate idea what you look like. We suggest that you have a family member of friend snap a quick roll or two. Use half of your film to get a good head shot and half to get a good body shot.
8. What other information about me does Style Elite need?
Remember to always include your basic measurements with your photos. If you are female your measurements must include your age, height, bust, waist, hips, hair color and eye color. If you are male your measurements must include your height, chest, waist, inseam, hair color and eye color.
No. You do not need to send a portfolio yet. If Style Elite agrees to represent you, we will work closely with you to build your portfolio. Of course, if you already have one, you are welcome to send us laser copies of your photos.

No. You do not need to send a composite card or headshot. Again, this is something that we would work closely with you to put together. Of course, if you already have one, you are welcome to send us laser copies of your photos.
If you are already represented by a professional model management agency in your hometown or elsewhere, you may want to first ask your agency to contact us on your behalf. It is customary for your "mother" agency to arrange your placement with agencies in other markets.
Style Elite is an agency, not a school, however, you don't have modeling and acting experience and we choose to represent you than we will work closely with you to get you the professional training you need to effectively compete in the competitive markets of modeling and acting.

Before participating in any model search or convention, you should carefully check references and verify that they are 100% legitimate. Style Elite does not require any fee to register when submitting your application so that your information and photos can be included and maintained in our booking database even if we do not choose to represent you. From time to time our bookers refer to our booking database for talent to fill acting and modeling jobs that our Style Elite talent models are not able to fill. For ex. we get calls from clients in need of extras for a feature films or a client seeking spokes models for a guerilla marketing campaign. If your look and info fits the client's requirements we will our registration fee is also to keep your application on file in our booking database for a year.
29. Does Style Elite charge a fee to represent me?
Style Elite does not charge an up front fee to represent you. Professional model management agencies earn a commission from their model's earnings. It is our job to develop, manage, represent and attempt to secure work for models. You should carefully investigate any organization which attempts to directly charge you a fee to represent you.
30. What if Style Elite is not interested in representing me?
If Style Elite is not interested in representing you, do not be discouraged. There are many good agencies, and every agency is looking for something different. It may be that your look was not right for us at the time of your submission. If a model is not contacted in 30 days it means that the model's look is not suitable for the Style Elite agency at this time. This means Style Elite may have several models represented by the agency that already have a similar look or that, based on experience; the agency does not see a need for a particular look. The agency makes its decisions based on marketplace demands. Lack of interest does not indicate that talent are lacking in attractiveness. Lack of interest merely means that Style Elite does not see your look or resume as a profitable investment at this time. However if you paid the $20 registration fee we will keep your photos and info on file in our booking database for a year. Our bookers refer to our booking database for applicants who fit a specific job or special client request that Style Elite models are not able to fill. Being a part of our booking database gives you an opportunity to be represented by the agency if we have a Style Elite Talent with a similar look with an expired contract that is not being renewed by the Agency.
If Style Elite Directors like an applicant's look, they'll contact the model in under 30 days.
Again please note, Style Elite will not respond to phone calls regarding whether an applicants pictures have arrived. Due to the high volume of work, agency staff does not have time to respond to these calls. If a model's package has arrived it will be filed. If it hasn't it will be returned by the post office.
If chosen to come in (based on email pictures and resume) Actors must bring in a dramatic or comedic monologue that is under 2 minutes in length. The monologue must be memorized. Monologue guidelines: Do not choose a monologue that you or a friend has written. Do not choose a monologue that requires you to throw or pound on anything. Do not play an extremely violent or crazy character.
When performing a monologue before the agent, the actor should find a point of focus other than the agent. This allows the agent to evaluate the performance without having to visually respond during the performance.
Actors may be asked to do a "cold reading" of material they have not seen before. Be advised that actors with no formal training in a school or in theatrical productions will be evaluated on skill and professionalism.
Photographers, Stylists, Make-Up Artists are welcome to show their work to Style Elite Talent Coordinators via email or regular mail only. If we are interested in you we will contact you to schedule an appointment.
